The next big thing after the Trash-The-Dress session is now probably the “Day After” Bridal Session. Or perhaps it came before?! Not quite sure but I had the privilege of having my “Day After” bridal session with Errol Colon. Although I may have stretched the day after concept a little far, I waited almost a year to have it done. Can we say procrastination?

One of the best things about these portraits was the pressure was off. It wasn’t the big day, we had no place to be and we were really able to be creative and care free. The scariest part was trying to fit back in the dress, eek. Due to the latter, I highly recommend doing this much closer to the wedding date, yikes.

Errol suggested a session at Washburn Imports on North Orange Ave. The space is a unique blend of Balinese furniture and home décor infused with a kick ass bar! The atmosphere was amazingly exotic and for my husband and me, it was a unique way to experience it for the first time. At first, I was a little nervous at how the pictures would come out in such a strongly themed setting but Errol was able to create stunning and romantic portraits.

Not only is the experience a great opportunity to have more time with your photographer but it may be a chance to experience a different photography style than you may not have been comfortable attempting for your wedding day. I truly enjoyed the opportunity to work with Errol and his immense talents as a photographer. His easy going personality puts you at easy and makes the experience even more phenomenal. Better late than never couldn’t be more fitting!
