On a cool autumn evening in Central Florida nothing could be better than sitting outdoors, surrounded by family and friends, great food and splendid music. That was the perfect combination on October 23 in College Park at the JazzFest.
The restaurants placed tables in the middle of the closed street in the heart of downtown College Park.

We had a table placed in front of the stage where we could clearly listen to the music of Miss Jacqueline Jones. She sang the blues alongside of her band but her showmanship just captured the audience’s heart.

There you could sit and enjoy a leisurely dinner and libations served directly to you by any of the restaurants. We chose to eat at a lovely restaurant, Juliana’s , where we enjoyed a fine Tuscan meal. We started our meal with fried calamari with strips of fried zucchini complimented by a lovely marinara sauce. We also tried their sliced mozzarella and tomatoes topped with fire roasted peppers in a mustard sauce. Delish. We enjoyed a spinach salad with toasted pecans, sliced tomatoes and bacon in a light vinaigrette dressing. We followed with a pasta dish with roasted eggplant and peppers in a light sauce over linguini pasta.

All of these wonderful events were just a wonderful medley for the heart and soul. This is just one of the great events that can be found around Central Florida during our fall and winter seasons. Isn’t Florida just perfect?
