New Years 2013

Wow a new year and many of us think, a new start. Rightfully so because it is always refreshing to think we can have an opportunity to make positive changes to many of our less than lustrous decisions from the past.

So here it goes. What will we strive for in this upcoming year? Should we aim really high or just aim for small steps, which will lead to some changes but not lead to failing to complete task at hand?

I will aim for the top. I will change the very thing I know will bring about positive change. We all know what that is and how easy it can be done but we have a difficult time executing. What is the magic?  Portion control!!!! Yes we can eat most of what we like, not eat it all day long and everyday but we must control the amount. My new mantra is “the first bite is the best bite.” After that initial bite your mouth gets accustomed to the taste and it becomes numbed so therefore it is all empty calories from that point on. Of course we must eat our veggies and fruits for good health.

In the past my mantra use to be, “nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.” Unfortunately that isn’t working once you pass a certain point. But hey, we have to start somewhere and here is my start. I will keep you posted.

Share what your resolution or goals are for this year. I like goals because resolution sounds like I too formal and too analytical and life is too serious in other parts of life so I will go with the more chilled approach.
